Serious Nature Photographers out there with CI?

As a photographer I am always looking for opportunities in the Midwest and East to photograph bird migrations, landscapes, macro nature and other natural habitats. Since my wife works full time, I was looking to take a "photography-only" trip this Fall by myself to somewhere for 3 to 5 days.
Are there any other serious photographers in the same boat that would be looking to join me with their CI as well? Perhaps something in late October in TN, GA or NC? Looking to stay at a COE site or other nice place or places.
Anyone game out there?
