REI Alcove is going on sale!

Hi friends!

I just got my REI catalog for the upcoming sale (along with my 20% off coupon), and while I was flipping through, noticed the Alcove will be reduced from $109 to $79.99. If there are any folks interested, that is a good price. I will probably use my coupon for the side walls on on something else "I just cant live without" (it can only be used on full priced items). Sale starts on the 18th.

Costco currenty has a 10 x 10 with drop down sides and carry bag for $199.00. A bit more but have you compared the two.

I've be toying with upgrading to the 15x15 from a 12x12 but hard to find. Hutshop appears to be either out of business or just not responding to email/phones. (apparently there are 3-4 different companies/websites but all are the same.

So, might have to settle for a 16x16 ..

or a Hexagon

Pricey, but hopefully longer lasting and sturdy. I've found a 12x12 becomes a 10x10 in the rain without the wind.

Will also be looking for clear side panels... (top half clear to see outside).. Geesh... i guess this is turning into a 'Poor Mans RV'... Yikes...

Do you know if this is going to be online or in store sale. I do like the idea of the Alcove and at a lower price...$30 off it is a good deal.

I don't remember it saying it was in-store only. I would bet it would be offered online also. They are pretty good about honoring the price in both places. I will look at the catalog later and confirm.

We haven't got our sale flyer yet, but they said it would be an online price as well. May 18th starts the sale.
