Regulator

I want to attach a Titan water heater to the ultra 560 propane port. Is that port regulated or not?

The heater specifies an RA328 regulator. Am I in luck, or will I need an extra hose and splitter to the propane tank?

The port and stove are regulated at the tank with a high pressure regulator (20 lbs) unless CI changed it. It would probably be best to put a RA328 low pressure regulator in line to the heater outside the port to keep the port active for other things like a remote burner or oven.

I know I can use another regulator, but with the forced efficiency of a teardrop, I'm trying titihave to carry anything else....I was hoping the regulator in place would meet the requirement. Most of the cooking we will do will be on charcoal or on the built in gas burners.

Id really like to figure out how to bring a big green egg on board ;)

Sweeney,

The port on the side is high pressure as Hilditch indicated. The appliance you hook up will have to have a regulator on it. It must be this way since all gas appliances that use the 1lb bottles have a built in regulator. The side connection is only meant for gas appliances that use the 1lb bottle gas. The supplied connection hose is set up that way. If using a gas appliance that is meant to run off a larger tank you will need to create your own gas line adapter (sometimes the included reserve adapter does the trick) and make sure you have a regulator on the line.

Since most gas appliances have a regulator in the system already this should be fairly straight forward.
