Recommending a book

Hi,

I want to recommend the book "Travels with Charlie" by John Steinbeck. I believe that it adds support to the idea that "All who wander are not lost."

I am about half way through it right now and was surprised at the insight into wanting to travel that Steinbeck provides.

It is a bit dated but the prose is so much fun that I seem not to mind the 'datedness.'

I hope you will try it out or read it again.

Jim

BTW I bought it used through Thirfbooks.com the Goodwill's book site and I paid around $3.50 for it.

There is a Steinbeck Museum in Salinas, CA. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
National Steinbeck Center
They have Steinbeck's truck and camper that he used when writing Travels With Charlie.

I like John Steinbeck but Travels with Charley is definitely a one of my favorites. Anyone who travels out to read it. On our cross country trips we talked about a lot.
