Its great you kept a log --- I never did, though I do have a record of campsites I've stayed at. Its fun to look back at each of them, and remember the day. I do the same thing periodically with my flight log...I can remember many of those flights jus based on a few words in the "remarks" column. Some good, some a little scary. "Smoke in cabin" comes to mind.
