Just posted pictures in the gallery of our trip to Philpott Lake. I'd recommend the campground to anyone in Virginia/NC vicinity, but you definitely need to get the lakeside campsites. The three we had worked perfectly for group camping, otherwise, you'd be getting to know your neighbor real well on #52 & #53. #87 & #88 would be our second choice. #54 is the very best. Most of the other sites required some steep climbing, to reach, but they were all level, shaded, and very nice. We heard a new bath house is coming soon, and they could certainly use it.
