Our First Trip

Becki and I got a chance to try out the 550 Ultra. So much fun! We haven't named her yet, so we'll just call her #215. Pulled like a dream on those desolate Nevada highways. We took her up to Cave Lake near Ely, Nevada. This is a really nice little state park which sits in the mountains at an elevation of around 7000 ft. What a great way to escape the August heat here in Las Vegas! This park does not take reservations for camping spaces but we lucked out and found a great spot with amazing views. Setting up our camp site took no more than 30 minutes and we began relaxing soon thereafter. We brought along a 10 x10 canopy which we set up over the picnic table and a Lightspeed changing tent for our restroom. Everything went smoothly. The only problem was we only had time to stay 2 nights! Really looking forward to our next adventure. Hopefully a bit longer next time!

Happy days, congrats. We picked up our Camp Inn in April and towed it home to Houston. It's been awfully hot and we are anxious to get out and camp again. We have a State Parked booked for Labor Day, can't wait. Glad you are enjoying your trailer.

Thanks. Enjoy your Labor Day trip! Are you heading out towards Garner State Park? We spent many holiday weekends there when I was a kid. We grew up in Houston. Moved to Vegas in '89. Happy camping!!

We are going to Goliad State Park. It's about 3 hrs SW of Houston. We do have Garner State Park on our list though, we hear it's great.
