Wow, awesome! We have been looking for a canoe too. Do you get any water in it? How easy is it to get in and out? Are you sitting or kneeing to paddle? How heavy is it? How easy would it be to carry a fishing rod or two and a small tackle box? Stable or tippy? Bottom durable enough for river with possible rock contacts?
Sorry so many questions but they are just awesome!

Love this. I remember thinking they were very cool when we saw them on ABC's Sharktank. Have you been happy with them? Are they sturdy and water tight?

Hi!

Very cool boats! We will have to check out the website, as we miss kayaking! We live in an apt. and there is no storage for kayaks, so we had to sell ours several years ago. This might be a great way to get back in a kayak!
Thank you for your photos!

Best,
Diane

Thanks Ken & Peggy for posting the website.
All your answers are there Gina and Bob!

I would not recommend an Oru Kayak for a "heavy" person. That is because the cockpit is a bit of a squeeze to get in to. Once you are in it is quite comfortable. Same with getting out of the boat, you need to be on shore or at a dock to exit. I would not be able to jump out of this boat, swim around, and get back in the boat like I can with my Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120.

The ONLY water that I got in my Oru was drips off my paddle. It is a very dry boat and a cool boat regarding temperature. The white reflects the heat wonderfully...it was 91 degrees the other day at Cedar Key and my legs never got hot under the hull.

We would definitely recommend this kayak to persons with kayaking experience. I found that it was not "tippy/rolly" like the Wilderness Systems 12 foot PUNGO kayak. It does "rock" some in choppy water like most kayaks will, but I think it is very easy to paddle, extremely sturdy, and well made.

Spend some time on their website before you spend the $$ and try to order it on REI as you will get some $$$ back with your annual membership rewards and the shipping charges are lower.

Thanks for posting the pictures.
After wrenching my back a couple weeks ago from taking our kayaks off our Jeep by myself (and getting an "I told you so"), those look very appealing.
