Off To Zion Np

JohnC

Ranger
After a few false starts on previously planned winter trips, I'm heading out tomorrow for Zion. I guess it's almost spring but none the less, I'm rolling! Going with the new ebike and new bike rack. I've used the bike rack on the car a few times but this will be the first run with the trailer.

I could only book 3 nites so I'm leaving tomorrow morning to overnight in Mesquite, NV so that I can get into Zion early Sunday and have a bit more time there. Hoping to see if my rooftop solar can more or less charge my solar generators via the AGM battery. Should be fun experimenting.

Planing to return across Nevada and thru Death Valley (they were booked) to spend another 3 nites at Tuttle Creek Campground in the Alabama Hills just outside Lone Pine, CA. If you've ever watch any old western movies or TV shows you've seen the Alabama Hills. John Wayne, Roy Rodgers, the Lone Ranger and many others have been filmed there. If you look closely, sometimes in a scene you can even see Mount Whitney in the background.

Hoping to plan another trip shortly after I get back!
