Hi everyone-
I know there are folks that are headed our direction, live in our area, or might be waiting for a more comfortable time to visit us down the road. I thought this article this morning was a good one, and gives some good points—things to consider if you are enjoying our coast and an earthquake hits. Just a little FYI that may help prepare you.
These days we always have a route out planned before we get to the beach. We have set up a plan for communication (they say to call someone long distance to check in, as those lines are often not as full as local lines are), and we have always packed extra gear in case 'something' happens (extra food, water, blankets, etc). You may already know this, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to pass along. Being prepared allows us to have more fun, but it is in the backs of our heads.
