New Cutting Board

Having lost our Camp-Inn cutting board, I decided to make a new one. I prefer a wood cutting board so I started with a 14" x 14" x 1-1/2" teak end-grain board from Amazon. I cut it the same size as the outside of the sink, then I routed out a lip so the base fits inside the sink. I had to trim one edge so the hatch will close properly, and I added four rubber feet to keep it from sliding around when cutting or chopping. After rounding the edges and a good sanding I then gave it a liberal coating of butcher block oil, I think seven or eight coats until it wouldn't take any more. This one better not get lost this time.

That's one serious cutting board! You did a nice job on it.
