I'm with Tina on this one. In addition to the things she suggested, there are some prepackaged dry good foods/staples that we put in the tear & leave there...less to get & pack when you want to go.
Also, I will precook things like chicken, ground beef or sausage, vacuum seal them & freeze them. Then they are ready to throw in the cooler & can slowly thaw out while helping to keep the food cold. It cuts down on having raw meat, & added mess/cook/cleanup.
Because our teardrop (#2) was the first demo unit & then was loaned out to numerous people over the years, I could never keep our stuff in it. So, for years, I have had everything (from stuff in the galley to everything in the cabin) in Rubbermaid totes that had to be packed, unpacked into the teardrop & repacked every time we went somewhere. Tina can vouch for this, as we have camped together many times. We use the tear A LOT & not just for camping. I was like a kid at Christmas when, last Spring, after our camper had some major updates, I finally got to set up our tear, add things for storage that I wanted, unpack everything into it & leave it that way. Now she is good to go within 30 minutes, depending (like Tina said) on where we are going & how long we are staying there.
You will always be keeping an eye out for things you can add or change, that's part of the fun. The nice part about having had to do it the way I did was that I had time to figure out exactly what I wanted & not be in a rush to get it. Also, seeing what others do is a great way to get a variety of ideas. So try different things & do what works for you.
