Jim has been working on these for the past two weeks (with a lot of interruptions!) He made one for each fender. They are made of cherry, with several coats of clear finish.

We plan on using them for water jugs, overnight shoe storage, etc.

Still allows for door to open, and side table usage.

We haven't tried them out while camping yet, hopefully will this coming weekend.

I'm very impressed but also wondering:
Will it scratch the fender? and will it tip over if you set something heavy (like a water jug) on one side?

No, it definitely will not tip. Jim custom fit each one, and the fold up legs won't allow the shelf to tip. As for scratching- the fender is stainless steel, so we are not to concerned about scratching, but I may put some adhesive pads on the pressure points, just to be safe....with Jim's approval, of course!

    Nice addition!

As far as scratching, scratches can be removed from the fenders. The sidewalls, however, are a different story, as you can't just buff out one area without doing the entire side. Otherwise you will have "spots" where you buffed the scratches.
