Has anyone had a mailbox built that resembles a teardrop?

Is anyone interested in taking this on?

This seems like a McNugit project maybe? Hmmm?

    not sure I understand

My mailbox doesn't need a name on it. I have the street address (house number) on the post, and that is all I need, apparently.

(This is for a mailbox for my home, not for the trailer)

Name of your Tear or Raindrop if you have one.

I do think the mailman would get confused if he came to my Teardrop Trailer-shaped mailbox and saw my trailer's name stenciled on the mailbox instead of my last name or my street address

To each his own- living rural we had many who had mailboxes in various shapes- a rooster, a barn, etc. I think if a person put "MiniMc" or "Snugglebug", etc. on a TD shaped mailbox with their address on the side that the mailman would "get it".

You haven't talked to my mailman!!

    :D

I like the idea, don't get me wrong.

First things first: I need to find a TD-shaped mailbox. I'm guessing I'll be making one myself. This proves that "you can [NOT] find everything you want on the internet."

But you are right - I am sure any mailman would get it.

I found a place that makes mailboxes, custom. I've asked them for a sketch of what a teardrop-shaped mailbox would look like, and I've given them the link to the Camp-Inn site so they can see ours.

I am assuming a very simple design, with the kitchen hatch opening so the mailman can insert mail.

Is anyone interested in a TD-shaped mailbox? His quote is for $250, but the price would come down to $215 if 10 folks want one.

(this is a mailbox for your home - not a mailbox for your trailer, just to be clear)
