Seems like a good tent for showers, changing, etc. so we started shopping around. Looks like the price ranges from $99 to $109. Well, wanted to get the specs on it so we went to the manufacturer website and found it on sale for labor day for $65.

Thanks so much for that info. This will be our first purchase for our almost in production 550. Now onto the Alcove, Northern Breeze, RV carpet, Cobb, solar panels..........and the end of retirement to pay for all the things that this forum makes me want to buy.

Hi! Reading the forum posts definitely causes wanderlust! Our ultra 550 is on order and we will pick up the camper in April. It is so much fun planning yet we keep re-thinking our decisions as we learn more about these trailers. Since we will be full-time we are trying to be efficient in our planning but sometimes it's a challenge! We have been fortunate in traveling around the U.S. a number of times by bicycle and car camping, so we know we have to travel light. Simplifying is a huge part of the appeal. Yet this is a huge step so we are going through our lists again and again! We are so happy to be a part of this forum...so much great info! Best, Diane
 
Hi! Are folks using the Litespeed tent in lieu of the CI side tent? Or in addition? We have ordered the side tent for privacy but since the floor doesn't drain from showers we wonder if it is as practical as the Litespeed. Thanks for any insights! Diane
 
Diane, did you order the side tent from CampInn? I've been thinking of ordering one but I thought they were out of stock.

Yes, we did order one with our TD order. Cary had told us that the tents were available for a camper order, but not in their shop for aftermarket sales. I think he said it had to do with production issues, but he certainly can clarify it for you.

That's great Diane! We placed our order several months ago and they are just starting to build. I will ask Cary if they have any available, and if yes, to please add one to our order. Thanks for your info--this forum has been so helpful!
 
We got our Lightspeed privacy tent and the Lightspeed screenroom. Both of these are awesome. Set up in under a minute (not staked down) and the construction seems very good.

Wife already has a plan on how to mod the privacy tent so it can be used as a side tent for the trailer. Won't actually make any changes until we get our trailer but think it will work.

Going to be watching the lightspeed site for more sales this year as this was well worth the $65.
 
Exciting to hear that your TD is being built! Lucky you! Hope you can get the side tent too!
