On August 29th we took delivery in Necedah and we thought you might enjoy this short video of the naming ceremony

Nice...also shows how sturdy that fender is as well.

    That was awesome!
I was wondering the whole time where you were going to strike the TD with the bottle. Champagne or beer? We may use a bottle of new glarus beer since it is a Wisconsin brew.
Nice to know the fenders are that sturdy.

What a kick, funny and 'WI' we have a 'Send Off'...

I feel you DO have to "Christen" it or "Launch" it appropriately...

While I used Champagne, heheh, Beer would have worked just as well and would probably have been more appropriate...

Cary recommended the fender by giving it a good hard kick just to show us not to worry. As for the champagne bottle, I feel the need to confess - it was a "special" Christening Bottle from West Marine (http://www.westmarine.com/buy/galleyware--christening-bottle--6775217) that comes pre-scored to ensure it will break and wrapped in two fabric bags to contain the broken glass. The confess part is that it doesn't actually contain any champagne, just water and a bit of bleach.

I heard about it from Cary when he came back in the shop after you left. Nice to see the video!

After picking up our trailer we went straight to the camp ground and that evening opened a bottle of bubbly. Had I thought I would have poured some on the fender! lol

Congratulations and thanks for sharing the video with us! We hadn't thought of a naming ceremony, but we love the idea! Those fenders look like they can take a beating too!

    Have loads of fun!!
