We did an 8 mile hike yesterday in Kankakee River State Park. Still plenty of color on the trees, but not for too much longer.

Great color. We'll have to camp there in the future.

You know, it's one of those places that are so close to home that we've never camped there. I have not really checked out their campground facilities, so don't have any idea what kind of shape they're in. Next time we get down there I will check them out.

Where in the world is this kind of weather still happening?
After two weeks of summer out here, we switched back to winter. I'm thinking that global warming is turning the NW into Alaska.

    Evan,
we still have lots of color in MN especially red oaks and yellow aspens and sweatshirt weather. But sadly school is in full force and not much time for camping. One thing about weather is the hope that maybe the next year will be better. We were very cool when we were in WA in last June but it was so beautiful and the campgrounds were not full. Hope you have a better weather year next year. Pat
