Just A Bed

Tour 931

Ranger
I’m planning a few winter trips to Fort Worden State Park here in Washington State. For the most part the trailer will only be used as a bed because I’ll be eating in restaurants and visiting junk stores.

It is below freezing and the trailer is winterized.

Yes I have a furnace and I winterize the sink. Even though I have a furnace I use an electric heater if I have shore power.

It has been getting down to the mid 20’s the last few nights.

I think with a nice down blanket and either your furnace or the electric heater to take the chill out of the trailer before going to bed - you will be fine. It has to be pretty cold for Linda and I to use the furnace during the night - but we use it before and when we wake up to warm the cabin.

I’ve camped in freezing weather before and like to sleep when it is cold. But going to bed and getting up it’s nice to be toasty.

Last night the house got down to 50 degrees and I slept warm under a wool blanket and bedspread.
