My 2017 Rav4 hybrid is being put out to pasture. It served me well but I've been wanting something newer for a while.
After doing a lot of research on finding the right vehicle for ME and recognizing that the vast majority of my driving does not involve towing a trailer, I ended up with another Rav4. Nine years newer, two generations newer, and two two generations of hybrid system newer. (oh, and exactly 100,000 miles newer.) I've only had it a week but it feels like a totally different vehicle even though the dimensional specs are all within about one inch of my old one.
There's nothing noteworthy enough to post photos of it but I will post this photo of the hitch and 7 pin. I just got back from having it installed today. It's not exactly an easy process to find somebody who can properly install and wire a 7 pin to a car that, while it can tow up to 3,500 lbs, isn't exactly know as a toy hauler. The shop who installed it is the same shop who installed my first one on the old Rav4 5 years ago. There is no way to elegantly/seamlessly install a 7 pin on this vehicle.
Now that that's done I can sell the old one and move on.
