    Hi folks,

Thought I'd "drop" in now that I am the happy owner of a Camp-Inn. An oldie for sure, 2003 Model 450 Deluxe, Serial No. 27. :)

Like Tear Stream, I'll be using this a lot for amateur astronomy star parties at dark sites. My wife and I will also probably take some trips into the mountains as the south's summer heat builds. I am the third owner of this teardrop, with all three of us owners being area astronomers.

Have spent a couple weeks bringing the maintenance up to speed, with new battery, new tires, repacked wheel bearings, lube, tank flush, and a good walberizing. Now ready for the road! Hope to cross paths with some of you along the way.

    Happy Trails,
    Alex

  4. Maybe we'll run across each other. We go into the NC mountains to get out of the SC heat in the summer. Usually the Great Smokies or the Blue Ridge Parkway.

    Welcome to the forum.
Wow, looks like new! Either the previous owner really took great care of it, or you took to walberizing like a fish to water.
    Nice job!!

I wish I could take credit for the walbernizing! The previous two owners took pretty good care of the camper, but after 15 years the exterior was still looking somewhat worn. The task of making it look like new was a bit intimidating for me. So when a local auto detailing business ran a special, I took advantage. The detailers came out to the house and detailed the camper in my driveway! (I supplied the Walbernize). I must say, I highly recommend this approach! If one gets up close, you can see that it could still use another round. But it looks 10 times better, and things are now good enough that I think I can take it from here. Just so you don't think I'm a total slouch :), I did do the entire interior, cabin and galley, shining it up with Pledge Moisturizing Polish, as was recommended to me by other RVers.

It is my understanding that there were only seven or eight of the 450s made. Anyone else out there?
