My name is Diane and my husband is Michael and we live on beautiful Cape Cod! Michael is retired and I plan to retire next spring...and then the adventure begins! Our goal is to order our Camp-Inn 560 Ultra for April 2015 delivery and to travel,to work as needed, and to live out of our raindrop. We have two other similar adventures under our belt, one a 4 month fully loaded bicycle ride/camping adventure around the country, followed by work at Sequoia Natl. Park for a season, and another 6 month drive around America with our kayaks, bicycles and backpacking gear. Both were life highlights! And now we're ready again!

We look forward to meeting you all, sharing stories, and asking for suggestions and advice! Thank you and happy trails!

    Diane

Diane, you and Michael may be the first full-timing couple. Make sure you let the rest of us know if it's a good idea. :)
    Congrats!

I think Michaelo counts as practically full timing. I know they are between the trailer and their boat, but it seems they are doing a lot of time in the trailer. Diane and Michael might be the first official full timing couple though!

I think you have made a great decision for an adventure loving couple like yourselves. It sounds like you should have a bicycle rack and maybe a roof rack too for kayaks.

Thanks, Evan, for this terrific forum! We are trying to be patient, waiting for April, but are so excited about our plans. It would be great to be a first full-timer couple, but we need to connect with Michaelo to see what he is up to! Diane and Michael

    Hi Diane,

It is Mark from Pepperell MA. Oz (560) and I are looking forward to seeing you both.
Can you guess from my signature below where I grew up?

Sarah is right. Check out the Adventures & Excursions section for the "Dew Drop Inn Chronicles"
Michaelo takes great pictures! They just recently got back to their homebase in Washington (state).

Another great adventure is under Gatherings. FLMikeandCarol from TheVillages north of Orlando
posted "2013 - Alaska or bust!". Mike says that Carol may write a book "Four Months Without My Bathroom".

    See you soon.

Hi Mark! Great to hear from you! We will check out your forum recommendations! If any time tomorrow (Monday) works for you, let us know. Turns out I am off tomorrow and not Wednesday. Or Tuesday might work out if it is good for you. Otherwise we could plan for next week? Look forward to hearing from you! --Diane

    Hi Bear!

Thanks for your 'welcome' and we hope to meet you on the road when we take off next year!

Who's that little cutie in the photo with you?

So, my question of the day...what made you become a full-time teardropper?

    Diane

    Hi Diane and Michael,

Hope the two of you enjoyed seeing a 560 in person. I enjoyed your visit and showing it off.
The Camp-Inn option we talked about for easier long term use of the couch can be seen at
    http://tinycamper.com/options6.htm .

For the Cleanwaste/PETT toilet & box-o-bags in my storage bin I got the cheapest quick(<$+stock+NJ)
    from Campmorhttp://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___11119
It also seems to be available online through REI, Cabellas, and CampingWorld (>>$ w/o membership).
The Youtube demo clips show inverting the top under the rear legs for support on soft ground.
Thank webmaster Evan for bringing this gem to our attention.

Look forward to seeing you on the road!
