I just made a dramatic improvement to the operation of the hatch prop when closing the hatch. I applied a small amount of automotive paste wax to the bottom of the prop track.

I used a rag and put a layer of Mother's Gold carnauba paste wax in the track and now it only requres a little push to get the prop to close; before it needed help most of the way up the track.

My prop works smoothly but I think I'll give it a try thanks for the tip.

    Ted,

Yup, that is one of those neat little insider type tricks. With it waxed up you get rid of that little "rumble" as the prop slides down the track too. Slick.
