This Labor Day Weekend we camped at Goliad State Park. The park was nice, trailer sites had pull through driveways and electric and water worked as advertised. There is plenty of History for those interested. We visited the old mission on the Park property, called the Mission Espiritu de Santo. Just South, less than 1/2 mile is the Presidio La Bahia. In town there is a wonderful Goliad museum that one could spend at least 3 hours to absorb all the treasures within.
It was hot, but Boba Fett has been cooped up far too long in the garage and it was time to get out camping again. We brought fans, plenty of drinks and used the AC at night. The AC was so cold that we had lots on condensation on the outside of the teardrop each morning.
Another stop not to be missed is Goliad Brewery. It's close by, just 2.5 miles North of the campground and easy to find. They have great beer, music, food trucks and lots of lawn games to keep everyone entertained.
