EXPIRED Found Two More Used Camp Inn Units For Sale

I've seen the second one before - the little roaster that is mounted on a stand on the right side of the galley looks familiar.

The first one is listed as an 8' x 10'. I wonder what model that is...

The Santa Barbara one is a real unit. That is likely the one you are thinking Evan because of the grill stand on the side for sure. That grill of his has been shown before somewhere I know. Didn't know Rich was wanting to sell his. Would be a good buy for someone. There is a neat history to this particular trailer. Ask me about it sometime.

The Huntsville one though I am questioning. Nothing in the ad is correct and the phone number is from FL, not AL. The picture is a canned picture from our website. I would steer far far away from this one unless someone can come up with more solid info on it.

I believe the Huntsville their refering to is in Kentucky. As far as the phone goes, it could be a cell phone.

However I agree with Cary, there just isn't enough info here. If you call this "seller", get the Vin number and verify it with the factory.

That is possible. However, the only units we have in Kentucky are not near Huntsville; nor are any of them the teardrop/model that is in the photo (that is one was taken here in Necedah); none of our trailers are 8ft x 10ft and none of them weighs 850 lbs.

Good call JP. Definitely run the VIN past us first.

The unit in the picture is a 500 Classic. There are maybe four units in existence that resemble the one in the picture and none of them are in the southeast corner of the US. Compounded by the fact that the picture is one from our website, as Betsey pointed out. The backdrop behind it is some evergreens across the driveway from our original "factory" building so was a picture that either Craig or I took many years ago. So, this would indicate this trailer is a '03 or older in the picture since we moved to our second location in Jan '04. There may be only one or two in existence then of that model and vintage.

Cary, from what you say in your post, this could be a Camp Inn Vintage collectors item.

Still, deal with this person with caution, verify the vin with the factory (and maybe the DMV too) and make every effort to view the TD. Absolutly don't just wire the money and expect delivery.

It's a shame that you have to take this approach because this could be a completely legit deal, but you have to be careful these days.

The Santa Barbara Camp Inn 550 has been sold :( Missed it by an hour a few weeks ago! New owner from San Francisco picked it up yesterday. Really looked like a wonderful unit and a really great price. I hope that another of this quality and price comes up for sale, in the West . . . soon?

I just got home with it. It will be kept in Pt Richmond, across the Bay from San Francisco. It needs to be cleaned and has suffered from a lack of attention because its owner bought an Airstream a year and a half ago. I'll post a couple of pics. This is the second one that came up for sale in the last three months. This is the best place to watch for listing. You'll find one. I missed the last one in Napa by hours too. Best wishes, Tear of Joy

I'm one happy camper. I Just purchased a 2004 550 Ultra!

After looking at various Teardrops for more than a year, I was going through my usual routine of reviewing the various internet searches that I have assembled....On Saturday, one search turned up a California trailer that I had not seen before, so I clicked on the link. I was misdirected and landed on a Craigslist page. There, on the page, was a 2004 550 Ultra, for sale, 15 miles away from my home! No pictures, but I had faith. My hope was that the owners appreciated the style and craftsmanship of the Camp Inn product. I was not disappointed. Jeanne & Leon had taken great care or their 550 Ultra and it was/is in terrific condition. (The only repair needed is to replace the fenders as the trailer was originally ordered with a lower quality white plastic/fiberglass fender rather than the stainless steel fenders).

I didn't think that I would ever be fortunate enough to own one of these top-of-the-line Teardrop trailers. I love the style, quality, and attention to detail that went into it's design. Thank you Camp Inn, Thank you Jeanne and Leon.

CONGRATULATIONS! What a blessing to find a good one so close to home! Have you thought about how you're going to get that bumper? Maybe Cary could ship it to you and you could have it installed...that or you could make the CampInn/CampOut in September and get one!
