    Hello everyone,

My wife Karen and I have been researching the Camp-Inn Raindrop 560 for the last month or so. We are traditional tent/car campers with 2 small kids (ages 7 & 3) and we live in Texas (where it is too hot to tent camp for the majority of the year). We have been looking for something to enable us to go camping more often.

We have been really impressed with what we have learned about the Raindrop and after Bill and Linda McMillan were nice enough to give us the full tour of their 560 over the weekend (thank you, again!!!), I would have to say that we are just about ready to "take the plunge" and order one ourselves.

This forum is great and is a wonderful resource for both owners and potential owners alike. We look forward to getting to know some of you through the forum and becoming "full-fledged members".

    Pat & Karen,
Welcome to the group!! We picked up our 550 in May and have logged in well over 6500 miles so far (...well we are retired :) ) and have loved it. Camp-Inn is the best decision we ever made. The factory tour put us over the top.

    P.S. This fourm is invaluable.

Hey guys! Glad to see you quit lurking and came on in! Thanks for those peaches - they're great!

I've been thinking about a Texas Gathering and I think that would be great! When you get yours we'll get that started!

    Welcome to the forum!

Welcome, Pat and Karen. We will be picking up our new 550 Classic in about a month - we hope - and can't wait to get started. We were tent campers also but the constant setting-up and taking-down really started to irritate us. So, we are sooooo psyched to have the CI trailer. Glad you got to visit Linda's trailer. We stopped in Necedah last fall and saw the trailers in person and then Frank Poole was gracious enough to show us his when we got back to Washington State. You will find the forum to be a lot of fun.

    Welcome!

We too were backpackers and car/tent campers, but a kid (almost 4) and double hip surgeries for my husband has slowed us down on that front. Plus, we have the opposite problem in weather, that we get a lot of rain and cold, and sure like these hard sides that keep us dry and warm. The trailer is getting us out more (although, I want to go even more often and have started taking steps for that!). The trailers are the best and the lad gets so excited when he gets to sleep in his bunk.

We picked ours up last October, and not a day of regret has entered my mind! We are all biased, but it is for a very good reason! ;)

Welcome to the forum! The staff at CampInn make a great product and provide outstanding customer service. We tent camped, pop-up camped, tent camped again, and then bought a CampInn a little over 2 years ago. We couldn't be happier. There's a great group of people here that will be glad to provide feedback and advice. Good luck in your decision-making.

Welcome to the forum and the world of Camp-Inn trailers. It seems a great many of us followed the much same path to these beautiful trailers starting with hiking and back packing then car/truck tent camping and finally the realization that there has to be an easier way while still retaining the true "camping experience". These small trailers are the way and the Camp-Inn trailers are easily the best of show. We pick up our new 560 Ultra next month and cannot wait. This forum has proved invaluable to us in terms of preparation and I am sure you will find it equally valuable. Welcome to the group (club?).

Welcome to the forum and to the world of Camp Inn. The CI tear drops are the best you can get and the people on the forum are the greatest! Glad you're not lurking anymore!

Hi everyone! Al and I purchased our 560 classic yesterday, 9/20/11. We wont be picking it up until April,2012 so I am relying on stories from everyone to get us through the waiting. We went to the showroom to see them after months of research, and we were ready to buy one when we walked in the showroom. After seeing how they are made on a tour, we were very impressed. We also met Kathy and Bob who were excitedly picking theirs up that day. We live in Illinois, and are hoping to see other Teardrop owners at gatherings.

Hi Al & Annie, welcome to the forum! That factory tour is very impressive, isn't it? Not only do they make a wonderful product, they are a great group of people who take such obvious pride in their work. Heck, you can eat off the floors!
There's the annual CampInn CampOutt gathering this weekend if you didn't already know that - why don't you come and camp with a bunch of like-minded appreciaters(?) of the whole camping experience? We went to our first CampOutt last year and found the group to be a lot of fun - from CampInn-ers, homemade teardrops, pop-ups, to tents. It'd be a great opportunity to meet others with the same interests and to get ideas for the variety of setup options/accessories that you might use with your new trailer.
Either way, I'm sure you'll find the company here friendly - enjoy!

    Hi guys,

Good decision. Congrats. You won't regret it. You have about the same lag time my wife and I did when we bought ours. The really good thing is you can enjoy the wait while exploring this forum. It wasn't around when I was waiting for mine and I know the wait would hhave been a lot more fun if it had been. Welcome aboard.
