Hi Susan and Allan

Great pictures, they look like our camp site, we made it to Florida and are camped at site 21 on Cape George Island State Park, sorry we missed you.

Michael

Oh Mannn.. haven't you heard??? summer is over.. that's OVER !!!!...heheh, at first I thought that "White Stuff" was snow..
but NOooooo-o-o-ooo
Just relaxing in the sun.. sweet...

Nope, letting the dust settle on the "Buggy"... camping I've stumbled across is expensive... 2 tanks of gas per traveling day + camp fees...

I know, I know I could stay at BLM (whatever) or Wally's but for me the fun of camping is to see stuff.... parking lots and trees/bushes is not high on the list.. ocean front, waterfront is...

My next trip will probably be the Oly Peninsula or up the Oregon coast starting in Calif.. but need to let "Nellie" settle in first.. heheh.

Sigh, one Toy at a time eh???

Jenn...you can check out the info on the mat by going to CGEAR.com and there is a you tube video by NRS demonstrating what it is about. The 10 x 10 size is fantastic and ultra lightweight and folds up small...18" x 18" x 8". Works great IF your shoes are dry...wet sand/dirt doesn't fall thru the "openings". At the same time, wet sand/dirt doesn't come up thru to the surface. Check it out online. Walmart had them priced shipped to store for about $78.

Dewey Crew...pictures please!

fpoole, you are right...most of our state parks are in the jungle with a short walk to the beaches, rivers, lakes and prairies. But they are nice, semi-private, clean and inexpensive with water and electric. Hot showers are free and some parks have laundry facilities too. It is worth a visit to Florida but I would suggest the late fall/winter/early spring for Florida camping. We will be enjoying the Christmas lights at the Stephen Foster Memorial State Park in White Springs, Florida next week and YOU, ahem, will hopefully be thawing out from this weeks blast of blizzard!! I'll take the trees and bushes over the cold any day!!! Hee, Hee, Hee

Susan, yep... but we're going through a heat spell here real quick like... gonna git'er up to low 40's I reckon...

Not to worry, will hit Florida sometime and during the times you recommended.. just have to figure out how and when.. I'm getting booked for 2014 already with thoughts of places to go.. sigh... just taking a break right now... heheh... until "Nellie" gets squared away...

but looking forward to it.. without too many bugs??
