We're heading out today for our first outing with friends. There will be about 6 other families camping with us - I'm guessing that they will all want the tour. In addition, my parents will be in our 2nd tear.

We're going to Jarrell Cove - on an island in the Puget Sound, accessible by boat or car. Some of our friends will be traveling their by boat.

I will post some pictures when we get back...

Have a great time E, L & K! We were supposed to be at Lake Gaston this weekend, but our plans have been foiled again! Boooooo....

Here are some photos from our trip.
When we got there, my dad had already setup his new tear under an apple tree in the grass. Something about the setup was just so appealing I had to take a few pictures:

Through the rails of the fence you can see the Puget Sound down below.

But for my dad's park job, I might have forgetten that the tear doesn't have to be parked behind the tow vehicle.
We backed ours in, unhitched, and then spun it into position on the grass.
The ranger came by and said that technically our site was a one trailer site, but because our trailers were so small and cute he agreed to call them 'tents'.

Getting ready to do some dutch oven cooking:

One of six pizzas from scratch...

The ground was a bit off level - the right tire was jacked completely of the ground.

We used the fold-up shower platform to brace up the table leg.

The side tent with potty went on the less visible side of the trailer (Lena's side, of course).

Did your folks like using the tear drop camper? It looks like you all had a great time.

  6. Looks like everyone enjoyed the weekend. I bet your parents are hooked now on camping :) ... Congrats to Katie on her first catch! She's alot braver than me...I don't like to put the worms on the hook, otherwise fishing might be fun...LOL.
