Yesterday we left Rocky Face and headed to Blue Ridge, GA for a Sunday school retreat, then tomorrow we leave Blue Ridge to drive to Necedah. Our car is packed to the hilt with our camping gear. We are so excited we can hardly believe we will finally get it on Tuesday. Planning on camping on way home. The fun begins.

Are you planning on staying at Camp-inn for a night or two? We actually stayed 3 nights in their little camping area! We spent the time organizing our teardrop and car. We also visited the wildlife refuge there and saw neat birds including bald eagles! Eat at The Little Crane for breakfast or lunch! Have fun!

Being a vegetarian, I would never eat a little crane for breakfast! !

We ate at The Little Crane for breakfast and the preceded to sit there for two hours because we had gotten up at 5:30 AM for our 9:30 AM orientation appointment. We were so excited we couldn't sleep. We got to The Little Crane when it opened at 7.
Our first night of camping in our new 560 was at the CI campsite. We cooked our first supper there after putting away our camping gear into its new home. The temperature dropped down into the low thirtys, but we were very comfortable with just two blankets. It was so much fun and we were like a couple of little kids, we kept giggling and couldn't fall asleep we were so excited. After leaving CI on the 20th we headed further north to Eau Claire, WI to visit family. We were so tempted to sleep in our camper in their driveway, but we thought it might seem rude since my sister had worked so hard to get things ready for us. Anyway, on Friday we headed to Goshen, IN to visit my older brother. We stayed in the Elkhart 4H Fair Grounds. We pulled in at 1:30 AM and quickly realized we were out classed by all the other campers, size wise that is. There was a Class A Motorcoach rally going on and here we were in our beautifully made little 560 CI. In the morning we quickly learned that we had picked the right name for our CI "The Do Drop Inn". Every where we stopped whether a campground or a gas-station, people dropped in. We just love it. We have even given tours in our garage with people stopping by to see it from our church. People are so amazed at the craftsmanship of the camper. We have been so tempted to garage camp since we got it home and that may still happen before our next camping trip Father's Day weekend. I really envy the full timers.

We're buying ours used, so unfortunately missed out on that awesome sounding experience! We are planning on visiting family in Wisconsin and Illinois next summer though, may have to drop in! (I was typing too fast and initially wrote "drip inn!")

Try to make it to Necedah next summer...it's really worth touring the factory and getting to know the crew there!

If you go to the Camp In Camp Out in the fall, they have tours of the factory and you can meet bunches of other CI owners too! Great fun. We went last year with our tent and this year we will be in our new 560!
