    Hi
New to site. Just returned from tour of camp inn factory with Cary. Nice people and so excited to be ordering Raindrop. Saw many teardrops waiting for their owners and wished mine was at that point. Drove from central IL to Necedah and then home in one day. With rest stops we left our house at 6:17am and got home at 1:30am next day. We'll worth the trip. Also picked up some favorite Leinenkugl beer and a few new recommendations. Had to laugh at the names: Horny Old Goat, Two Women, Spotted Cow, Fat Squirrel, etc. We had to laugh and say this is probably the longest beer run yet!

    Hi,
Exciting that you had a tour of the factory! When do you expect delivery of your raindrop? And hope that the beer is worth the trip! :)

    Best,

Diane, New Glarus beer is definitely worth the drive. We've driven from Seattle by way of Alaska to pick up a 12-pack!

    YOU GOT FAT SQUIRREL?!

They only make it in January & February now. It used to be in their regular lineup. We'd take a ride from Chicago tomorrow to pick some up.

Hi thanks for all the responses! Husband was sleeping (catching up on what we lost yesterday) and woke him up with my laughter! Fat squirrel was in a sample pack we bought at liquor store in Necedah. Still chilling so haven't tried it yet. My husband likes the original leine and it is not available in central IL. Used to live southwest suburbs of Chicago when we could find it easily. Did the brewery tour last year on way to northern Ontario for fishing trip.
We are getting the 560 Ultra and we're told it should be done sometime in late December. Now trying to decide whether to pick it up in February and take vacation south or wait until spring. Question: looking at campgrounds. How can you tell if the tent sites will allow the teardrop on their sites? Thanks again for the warm welcome!

I ordered my trailer in the first week of July and could have picked it up in January but since there are a lot of mountains between here and there and there is a lot of salt on the roads back there during the winter I waited until spring. You are not so far away so could bring it home and unwrap it in the garage, get it all outfitted and be ready to head out at the first sign of spring. Whatever you decide just have fun with it. I think when the salt is on the road they wrap it up tight and you could head south and unwrap it when you get to warmer climate. Who knows what kind of winter you will have?
