Electronically delivered Teardrop Magazine

First issue appears to be available in February, 2013. I signed up--the signup page said the magazine was free--if you get it electronically delivered. If you like actual printed magazine, then there is a cost.

Ah, here's the catch for the free email delivered magazine: in the confirmation email they indicated their advertisers would send me "a few emails a year". So I guess that's the "cost" for the free magazine--spam mail generation. :( Oh well. So keep that in mind if you are interested.

Thanks Sherry, we'll give it a shot. I'll deal with the spam mail, I'm very familiar with the delete key.

Here's what the owner of the magazine has to say in response to being asked the question:

"And you promise not to spam us or sell our info to someone who will?

If so, I'll sign up."

The Response:

"Great question. I am sure others have the same question.
The short answer... We will never sell or rent the list to anyone. No one will have access to your name or email but us.

"This is not for sure yet but I would like to be able to send out one email at the absolute most per month from one of our sponsors. (and that is through us so they will NEVER have your information) Even if we do that you will be able to permanently opt out of the emails and still get the magazine.

"The sponsors are what make it FREE for everyone so I hope we support them as much as we can.

"I am interested in your comments. Let me know what you think."

I am looking forward to the first issue. I have an account for these kinds of emails (REI, Gander Mountain, Cabelas, etc.) Between gmail and firefox there is barely a wiff of spam. Happy to support a new Teardrop idea!

Jenn,

We think you should be a contributing editor …at the very least they should interview you for a featured article.

How did I find out about it? I lurk on Tnttt.com (as well as here, and tearjerkers.net). I'm a seasoned forum lurker. :)

tnttt.com has thread about it--well, a 1-post thread. We're more active on this forum!
