DO for 2?

Any one (George, I'm talking to you!) have any experience with using a small DO to cook for 2? I love cooking in a 12" DO for large groups, But we are going on a 3 week trip and I'd love to try some meals for 2, without all the leftovers, etc....
I'm looking into getting a small DO -perhaps 6"
    Any suggestions, ideas?
    thanks

    Eileen,
With just the 2 of us, I will cook with 10" on down to 6" DO,
It all depends on whether or not i want left overs. Normally I do.
I don't know what your eating requirements are,so an example will be for 2 medium servings.
    6" make a sausage gravy
    8" 4 biscuits
There might be a small scoop of the gravy left.
Now if you all are heavy eaters, use the 8" for the sausage gravy, and a 10" reg for the biscuits.is consider
The 6" Lodge has a capacity of 1 quart
The 8" Lodge has a cap of 2 qt
If you want to be prepared for all, then stay with your 12" and just reduce your recipes. I would definately recomend that you travel with no less than 2 DO and at least 1 skillet. I would go with 3 DO and 2 skillets, but that is me.

I hope this rambling has helped. If you have further questions feel free to ask.

    George

Thanks George! It helped me quite a bit.
As I read through this and the rest of the cooking forum -it looks like there are several DO cooks. I'm just getting my feet wet in DO, but really like the outdoor cooking. We were lucky enough to spend a year in Australia, and did some great trips with folks there who really showed amazing diversity in their camp cooking.
I'm open to learning anything from anyone, and giving it all a try.!
