Dealings with DMV

Well today is a great day, finally got my tag!!! In and out in 5 minutes. Went to a smaller office a few miles further from the house. The lady I dealt with today was more shocked at the amount of sales tax I paid in Wisconsin since we picked it up.

Last week went to the main office and spent 2 hours with them and Cary on the phone. They didn't have a clue, even though they printed off and showed me a Camp Inn Title from another owner in SC that Cary told me about. Even with that information they were still against taking it by saying "something must have changed since then" or "we probably shouldn't have taken it". I said well the County didn't have a problem with it since they took my $230 check for the property tax's.

Now time to relax!!! :)

Thanks again Cary!

Out here the lady didn't know what type of trailer tag to give us. She charged more than I thought I was going to pay and I thought I wouldn't have to renew for 4 years. I ended up getting a small refund in the mail and was informed it was only good for 2 years. We had trouble with the title on another trailer we have too. I think they have made it so complicated out here, they have no idea anymore.

Congrats on everything!

This lady today was more interested in what it looked like, so I pulled out my phone and showed a picture to her. She was impressed. I'll use this office the next time I have to deal with the DMV!

After paying the required sales tax the process in New Mexico was very easy, the entire process took about 10 minutes. Jason you should have told the DMV office that you were a deceased Union Soldier, things might have gone easier on you, especially in South Carolina.

When we got our tag they ask if someone could live in it. Well yeah, alot of people live in less. Does it have running water, well yeah, but I don't think you understand.
I had it in the parking lot. It had already drawn a small crowd. After I showed it to the DMV people they just laughed and sold us the cheaper tag. Ours is lifetime for $85.00. Lifetime, how cool is that.
