Jolley and started from our home in Sarasota Florida and headed to Aspen Colorado where we met up with our daughter, her husband and our grandkids and celebrated the 4th of July in 2009. We had picked up our TD in April of that year in Necedah. Our TD, # 304 is a 550 and we used (and still use) a Subaru Outback to tow it. After making our way from Florida, through Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Kansas we made it to Colorado. When we left Colorado we went up to Wyoming and stayed in Grand Teton National Park, which was one of the highlights of our trip. After that we toured Yellowstone and then headed east through South Dakota and Iowa and made our way to Columbus Ohio, where we stayed with my sister for a few days. From there we headed south.
In all, our trip lasted from June 26th until July 31st. According to mapquest the total mileage added up to 6071.
During that trip we spent 21 nights in the TD and the other nights in motels or with my daughter or sister.
We wrote a blog and posted a lot of pictures along the way. There are a lot more details (including pictures) of our journey. For those of you who want to kill some time you can see them at http://janddsiegwald.blogspot.com/

Some of the highlights: the 4th of July parade in Aspen, a hot air balloon festival in Steamboat Springs, the beautiful Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone, and the nice people everywhere.

I am picking up my 560 Ultra in July. We are planning on stopping in Grand Teton National Park on the way back to Oregon. It is nice to read that Colter Bay Campground is a great place to stay.
