My wife and I designed our first quilt to take with us for our maiden voyage in #1003! My mother-in-law stitched it together for us. We were shooting for a classic Americana look that blended well with the birch, maple, and mahogany interior wood, along with the gold curtains and green leather sofa. The blue tiles look like they have polka dots in the picture, but they are actually tiny white stars. We're both very happy with how it turned out!

Anyone else have a quilt or blanket in their trailer that they love?

Nice quilt, I'm working on our quilt as we are expecting oura Raindrop1010 in January. When did get yours? I'm a professional longarm quilter in case you need one.

Very cool! We picked up our Raindrop (#1003) on November 10...haven't even had it a month! Super happy with it.

Ya, this was the first quilt we've ever designed. It was very challenging finding the perfect patterns and fabrics. Cary sent us a sample of the curtain material (we only paid for shipping), and we were able to get a leather sample from the company supplying the green leather for the sofa. My mother-in-law (this is Mike typing) is used to doing some very advanced quilting, and ours is such an intentionally simple design that I thought she'd get bored! (If she did, she didn't tell us!)

My idea is to sew 2 12" pockets on the top of the quilt so that we could stuff morning or pj's in it. Let me tell you, we are beyond excited for 'Dirty Socks' to be ready. We have to drive to Wisconsin in January (yikes!) to pick him up. Napa... Nice, we are Cab lovers.

Cabs are great! Everything is a little smoky from all the fires this year, though! I see you guys are in Tacoma...we lived in Port Orchard when I was in the Navy. I remember a really cool glass museum in Tacoma, and a spectacular book store that I liked to frequent. Oh, and our antique oak cabinet that our TV sits on in the family room came from an antique shop somewhere in Tacoma as well...seems like there were several antique shops right in the same area.

Cool idea with the pockets. Our PJ's seem to end up in the uppermost cabinets. That's smart to incorporate storage into the quilt!

Be careful with the icy roads during your January adventure!

Funny... Our Tv is on an antique oak wash cabinet too! We like old stuff and renovate victorian and craftsman for fun. Tacoma is a great place to live, in Snohomish before that. Hope to meet one day, imagine you'll enjoy a trip up the 101 is the summer. We grew up in So. Cal.
