should be alot of fun. great chance to meet alot of new folks and spend time with some good friends. Looking forward to this event. Last update was 76 trailers registered. Park is filling up fast.

Yep, I think it will be lots of fun! Some of our fellow CI owners will be there (like Tina & Jerry). Craig is even doing a Q&A session with another gentleman who does vintage trailer restorations & custom teardrop builds.

We are looking forward to seeing many of our teardrop friends, (some of whom we have only communicated with via the Internet) & also making new friends.

If you are able to attend, it will be well worth your time.

All set to head out tomorrow for Crossroads. :)

This looks to be the largest teardrop gathering in the U.S. so far - 136 confirmed teardrops. Gonna be a busy time!

Safe travels to everyone!

The anticipation of wait is like waiting for christmas morning or the birth of your first baby....on the threads people are trickling into the campsites and teasing those of us that can't be there until friday d/t work circumstances...but the reward will definately be worth the wait. Will be busy meeting up with friends and as Betsey stated putting faces with some you talk to on the forums but never met in person. :) Looking forward to relaxing with everyone!

Made it home late Sunday evening. Had a fantastic time, even though it was in the 90s, with heat indices of 110-115. That's what it was here in Wisconsin when we left & that's what it is this week (although they said today & tomorrow the heat index would be 115-120).

Total of 146 registered camping units, of which 118 were teardrops of all makes, shapes & sizes. There were also vardos, converted cargo trailers, T@Bs, an Airstream, a barn on wheels, some small vintage travel trailers, & a few popups.

The smallest teardrop was a gal from Canada with a Moto Mate which has an interior 36" wide, 100" long & 33" high. One of the most unique ones belonged to a family with 4 children. The dad had built 2 tears - a regular one & a miniature one for the kids & pulled them tandem. When set up side by side, they ran a connecting "tunnel" between them that was hooked up to an air conditioner, so both were cooled. The kids were now big enough that they had the bigger tear & parents used the little one.

There were 5 Camp-Inns & a homebuilt Camp-Inn clone.

The park, the first state park in Indiana, was gorgeous. Most of it was virgin forest. We spent time hiking to the waterfalls & in & along the creek bed.

It was fun to meet up with lots of friends & to meet people we have only known through the Internet.

We made 8 gallons of ice cream for the masses. :o

There were raffles & other activities that helped to raise funds for Inflammatory Breast Cancer Foundation.
Overall, the event raise more than $2,000. :)

On the way home, some of us stopped in Crawfordsville, IN at the old rotary jail museum...interesting way to house inmates.

We headed home & the others headed north for the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart (a must see) & points north. I'm sure Tina & Jerry will add to this thread, as this is the route they took.

All in all a great time...very laid back...you would never have known there were 250+ people in the park.
