PA State Park Cowans Gap State Park

This is a nice campground with most sites being very roomy. In particular sites 107, 108, 110, & 113 are much to are liking. All these sites had new gravel on them making it difficult to drive any pins in for the side tent.

The shower house/restroom was new and very well kept.

There is a scenic lake with a swimming area/beach. There are numerous hiking trails in the park with at least one suitable for bicycling.

There was at least one Whip-o-will in our area that was annoying at his 5 a.m. wake-up call

The mountain laurel was in bloom adding to the general beauty of the park. We were there the third weekend in June.
