It's considered one of the best camping sites so book RSVP when you're ready to go.
I'm booked for the first time June. Toured the park area 2 yrs ago while doing the Kite Festival, now going back.

Great, you should like it, has a light house, museum and one of the roughest inlet in the nation?? or whatever.. Coast Guard trains there all the time.
Thinks to do, either the Kite Festival or Sand Castle. Kite Fest would be the better one if you can make it. Also Astoria just across the bridge is a quaint old town..

    enjoy

This is my *favorite* place to camp in WA state. Even though I could just hang out & chill in the CG & beach, and the park itself has lots to explore, the entire Long Beach peninsula has a lot going on. Not to mention Astoria which is on the OR side of the Columbia River. You should definitely go!
