We have noticed that some campgrounds have opened up but they have not opened their restrooms. We understand that decision so not looking to create a debate. Just wondering if anyone has used a portable toilet and shelter so that you could still camp in campgrounds that are choosing to keep facilities closed? If so, suggestions on equipment to purchase.

We have a 5 gallon bucket toilet we have used, with liners that are designed for that purpose. The liners are pricey but could be substituted for just a garbage bag if you’re willing to forego the coagulant/deodorizer built into the commercial bags.

Our roof top tent includes an enclosed awning space that provides the needed privacy.
