This past weekend Becky and I drove to Colorado to see our Granddaughter graduate from high school. We were on I-25 on the south side of Co. Springs and saw a 550 heading south. Don't remember what the TV was, but the CI had an alcan cover on the front end .

    :D :D :D

Sorry Oly...I had to chuckle when I read that...a 550 with an Alcan cover would narrow it down to maybe 90% of the CIs that are out there. Although we do have customers in that area.

I had the same thought too Betsey! A TV sure helps to narrow it down! :)

Now if it really was a spotted camp inn it would be easy to identify. Dave

Were they salt corrosion spots? I think it might have been Snugglebug.... nope, she's still here. :)

Wasn't Towed Hall as we were coming into Colorado Springs from the north... and didn't go south

Wow you people are a tough bunch. Give me a break.
You have to remember we had just drove 958 miles the day before then get on I-25 and head for downtown Denver. I hate city driving and thought I was doing good to see it at all.
Would it help if I said the TV was small and dark in color?

That could be the phantom CI Jim and I passed it on our way to pick up Spamalot. No wait... we were in Wyoming at the time.

Anyway, we made the same post as you and never found out who it was. I say, from here on out - any unidentified, alcan CI heading in the opposite direction is THE PHANTOM.

We could start a whole Phantom Sight site. It'll be fun.

Oly, last year I was in the Redwoods, had the TV, identified 2 bikes on the back, knew they were California plates (but didn't get the number) and still have no idea who they were. Tried to catch them up, but the completely disappeared into thin air.

It never hurts to ask, but folks around here just like to have a bit fun!

Sue, chalk a phantom up since that one vanished!

Does the Phantom Tear have plates that can change color?

Everything it has changes color... That's why it's called a Phantom.

    Ooooo...spooky.
