California For New Year's 2019

Our winter camping plans hit a bit of a hiccup due to the California fires, when the Leo Carrillo State Park campground in Malibu went up in flames this month, but we have rebounded, and our first long trip in our new 560 Ultra will look like this:

We will stop at an RV park in Anaheim near Disneyland for two nights before moving on to the Upper Pines Campground in Yosemite for four nights. On our way back, we will be staying at the Hollywood RV Park in Van Nuys. The Hollywood park took pity on me when I explained that we lost our spot at Leo Carrillo because of the fires, and were kind enough to find a place for us on their back lot for the first night, with a promise that they will let us top up our battery. It's not the coastal beach view we had planned, but under the circumstances, we're glad to have a friendly spot with showers so that we can still enjoy our daytime plans in the Los Angeles area.

We'll have a full camper with two adults, a teen, a tween, and a little dog.

Have fun! We're off to Death Valley for a few nights between Christmas and New Years in our Ultra 560 with 2 adults, and 8 year old, 1 year old, and maybe bringing the dog too!

Happy New Year!
