Boondocking Shower

So in a recent post in the LiteSpeed changing tent post, I mentioned that we will use the changing tent as a shower as well when boondocking. I thought I would explain the shower setup here.

We purchased a Zodi Shower setup. This consists of a stainless steel, 5 gallon, container that you fill with water, heat on stove and pressurize with built-in hand pump. Presto, hot 5-minute shower out in the middle of nowhere. Not pictured is the candy cane shaped stand that loops the hose and shower head to a position over your head, just like a real shower.

It takes about 8 min to heat the water to 105 degrees using the small supplied burner and stand, using a small 16 oz propane cylinder. It takes only 4.5 minutes when using our big pot burner.

Greg and Carol have a Triton hot water heater. It attaches to the external hose connector on the trailer so they have unlimited hot water (assuming you don't run out of propane). We have been looking at that for boondocking.
