    Located in Oklahoma's panhandle region.

Camped 3/18-3/20. $22/nite for W+E. Flush toilets, hot showers, but needed maintenance. Very remote, no cell/data signal, but we discovered on our own the ranger's office has WiFi, and it's open; use at your own risk. Locals appear to use the park frequently.

Nearby: Oklahoma's highest point. A creek runs along one edge of the campground, with fishing there or on Lake Carl Etling, a reservoir just downstream (boat launches available). Pretty, in a scrubby, high rolling plains sort of way. Night skies are amazing.

    Recommendation:
it's not really on the way anywhere, but if you collect highest points in U.S. states, it's a "must," and of course there are those night skies.
