After inviting ourselves to visit Bear in his natural habitat, we finally got to meet him on Saturday and to actually see a CI tear drop in the wild and learn a few do’s and don’ts.
When we arrived we were honored to have ready for us fire (candles), hot chocolate and the rarely seen Bear weather protection system. As we were warned, it was a cold, windy and rainy day. Bear was in Polar Bear mode and was enjoying the weather while Shirley and I huddled and tried to keep warm.
In any event we had a wonderful time and had an opportunity to see tear drop camping in its most practical and elegant form. We got a great tour of the Stagecoach; it was exactly where it last appeared on Google Maps. We saw many of Bear’s improvements, got to see the Bear cave and learned the secret Bear handshake. I have put some pictures of our adventure that I hope to post as soon as I am able.
We can't thank Bear enough for taking the time to talk to a couple of inexperienced tear dropper campers. We hope to pay him back for his kindness soon.
