Camping up to the Powell River region above the Sunshine Coast. From Thursday to Sunday, figure 1 day up 2 days diving and 1 day back.

While it's a "Dive Campout" it still qualifies as an Event of sorts cause it's going to be fun. We've camped up here in the past, as Diving Campouts and it's an area missed by many. Usual trips are over on Vancouver Island, Campbell River etc.

One feature for divers is the mermaid. The artist did 2 of them, the other is in the Cayman Islands and they are reportedly facing each other.

Amazing! I have only been diving in warmer waters, but I am to,d the northern pacific waters are even more amazing. I love the mermaid too...that is fantastic!
 
Thanks all, they are older pics,2005 when tent camping, but the area and Vancouver Island have some great campsites. They used to have "Free Firewood" which was great.
Anyway, camping is good, looking forward to the trip at the end of month... pics will follow...
