Battery Charge

I just charged my battery overnight. The meter says 13.5. The trailer in now in storage. The plan is to bring it home in two months to charge it again. The manual says that charging it every three months should be fine.

I have the upgraded AGM battery. Does anyone know how low the charge can go? Cary told me but I have misplaced my notebook.

In a previous post, Evan said that Cary told him not to let it get below 10.5 but wanted to make sure that applied to my battery as well.

Thanks

That sounds about right Joan. Unless it gets really cold, it should hold a charge for that long. And I believe that 10.5 volts is the lowest it should go, but I'd want to avoid letting it get that far down if you can.

Joan,

At about 11.5-11.9v or so you will see it start discharging pretty quickly on it's own. This is an indication that you should be charging.

Thanks Cary. When I picked it up from storage, it was 11.8. I did not charge it overnight before I put it into storage so my bad. I think the two month schedule for charging should work. I will probably go check on it in a month.
