Hello to everyone from Greg & Carol Jackson in Austin, TX. We have ordered a 550 Ultra, which will be ready for pickup sometime in September, just in time to participate in the 2015 Camp-Outt. We're looking forward to meeting some follow campers in September!

We've been stalking the forum discussions and they have been very helpful - thanks to all of you! - we really appreciate the tips and info everyone provides! I think we're now about 95% decided on Camp-Inn Options & Accessories, as well as all the other Accessories you have to buy online! We're exited to be part of the Camp-Inn Tribe!

Welcome. Nice to see another Austinite join the CampInn family. We have some great camping in the area...Valerie and i were just out at Guadalupe River State Park last weekend and will be out in San Marcos next weekend with our 560 Ultra.

Cedar Breaks up in Georgetown is a really nice campground as well.

Perhaps we will can arrange our own local campout once you get yours. I know there are a couple of others in the hill country...Dan and Vanessa are down in San Antonio and then there is another couple that live downtown.

Hi Jay n Valerie. We would love to participate in some organized campouts! Top on my list in Texas is Devil's River State Natural Area. Lost Maples is also a great park.

Welcome Carol & Greg! Great to have fellow Texans join the family! We are planning to spend the week after Memorial Day camping at Inks Lake SP not too far from y'all....very excited as we've been trying to get there for the past year or two. Devil's River & Lost Maples (in the fall) is on our list also. I've seen a YouTube video of a kayak/fishing/camping trip down the Devil's River that looks like a blast! Are there actual campsites inside Devil's River State Natural Area where our CampInns would be allowed? I haven't checked into it that far yet, other than (according to the video) it's a LONG way down a dirt road to the actual river. :)

    Welcome Carol and Greg!

I'm just a prospective Camp-Inn owner myself (currently full-timing in a 17' trailer) but I'm just finishing park hosting at Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, not too far from Austin. :) I had a good time here. I never made it to most of the state parks listed above, but this past Sunday I did visit Pedernales Falls and really liked that one and they do have RV camping (ERock is tent only).

Hi Mark n Casandra! Devil's River only has about 6 campsites and there are no hookups. But their campsite map indicates showers where I assume there will be a water spigot! Then for electricity I'm planning on using solar panels. What intrigues me about Devil's River is it is virtually unspoiled! As Jay and Valerie suggested maybe us Texans can plana group camp out at some point!

Hi BeckyIO. Pedernales Falls (mispronounced "Perdenales Falls" by Texans) is my favorite Texas Park. Back in the 70's when there was a lot more water we could tube down the Falls! I took my kids tent camping there many times when they were little guys!

Fun! I saw pictures online of the falls when the river has flooded and there sure is a lot of water then, but it wouldn't be safe for tubing I imagine. ;) Glad your family had the chance to enjoy it before the area became drier.

I have to laugh at the pronunciation thing! The first time I saw a road sign for the Pedernales River I pronounced it as spelled to a local and they "corrected" me to "Perdenales" so I started pronouncing it that way to not seem like a silly tourist. :p

It's just like the Embarras river here. I say embarrass, locals say embra
