We were excited to try our Ultra 560 for the first time in real camping situations. We had planned to sleep a night in AJ in our garage and the nights were just too cold. Nothing like trying it out 600 miles from home! As veteran tent campers we weren't too worried about having the right equipment, clothing and food along. We stopped at Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park in southern Illinois on our way to Land Between the Lakes, KY. The campground host admitted, "I've never seen anything like that little camper before - I like it!" We loved the (relatively) quick setup and take down for a one-nght stay compared to tent camping.
We loved Energy Lake campground in Land Between the Lakes. We were one of two campsites occupied in loop D and had a great view of the lake. We stayed three nights and explored the LBL and surrounding areas. Our fantastic fan did its job and closed when we experienced an overnight rain. Our first thought, "Hey, we're not in a tent" and we loved it!
