Air Commander, Huh?

Well, I just got back from Les Schwab's from an all day install for an Air Commander.... 2 hrs past their closing.
And I don't know why I got it...

I had some "Lift bags" install on back of truck cause it tended to sag about 2-3 inches and just looked funny. So I said to myself, Self, fix it - make it look right.

So Me, Myself and I, the 3 of us, got the lift bags and then thought, how kewl it would be to be able to fill them and tires while on the road. Thus the Air commander.

It's a compressor, 2 gal container with a gauge and 25' spring coiled hose. I can now go all around filling up peoples tires, inner tubes, rafts whatever. Up to 150lbs.

All the while asking my self, self?, how many times have to had to put air in the tires... maybe 2 times in 30 yrs... Trailer just last year. Mtn bike, ok, a little more often with a hand pump.

A fine investment upgrade indeed..

Gawd, I need to get a life.. heheh and when I do, I'll be able to fill it up with air... Kewl??? heheh, sign, I'm done upgrading anything more...

... for now anyway...

Hey Frank,
My TV and I are the same age and are getting a little loose and soft in the rear suspension so I put a set of air bags on the back of my rig last year and they work great. I can pump them up to 100#'s. Nice for when I have to get underneath. You don't want to run down the road with that much air. I run around 20 in each bag. They really helped to bring my headlights back down on the road instead of up in the trees and in everybody's eyes. When I am not towing a trailer I keep them around 10. They really stiffen up the rear and make for a rough ride with anything over 10. I did not go with the air pump. I'm envious. Can you make your TV jump up and down? Just think, you could do the same for your teardrop.

Heheh, George,
Yah, I like them. They advised to keep it at 20 when empty/not towing but I think it's a little high. I'll try 10 as it seemed just about right when they put the bags on, but don't know how high they filled them.

Like it and am "Accessorizing" with the air blower and other stuff (tire plug repair kit). I can now fill my own tires/rafts/tubes and clean off stuff.
heheh, Kewl!!! LOL... sigh.. I do figure it'll be nice for overniters without unhitching as the slant will now be higher in the front. Before had to unhitch and crank it up. Also, I suppose for low ground hitching where the trailer hitch is higher than the truck hitch..

I like it, I got it, I'm done with it.. heheh.. hmmm.. next??? Yikes...
