Decided to put a propex furnace in my 560. I ended up putting it in the storage area in the front inside, since there was already power there.
Drilled 2 holes for intake and exhaust, and 2 for gas lines. Was told that the dual stage regulator required vertical mounting , protected. So I installed it in the outside front storage area.
I didn't want to drill holes in the woodwork , so I made a small block of wood for the thermostat to mount to , and attached it to the wall with double sided tape, then taped the wire to run to the spot where the wall rounds to the storage area, I was able to drill 1 small hole on the side of the molding that's invisible. ( i had to cut the thermostat wire as the installed connectors would have required a much bigger hole.
Here's the interesting part.
You can buy the furnace in a suitcase so it's portable, but twice the cost and you still need to figure out how to get the heat into the camper. I looked into mounting it in the galley but the vent would be in the footwell, which means blankets, etc blocking it.
So I removed 1 cabinet door in the front and made a hardboard piece held there with velcro and drilled a couple of holes, 1 for the heat and 1 for the return air. Now there are 2 things you can do, either just lay the seat cushion down, or alter it to make a small piece that folds down.
