Planning a trip to the Adirondacks. Anyone have any campground suggestions? Looking for something on a lake that allows dogs as we will be bringing our SUPs (stand up paddleboards) and the lab. We do a lot of camping in Maine, NH, and Vermont and realize we are lucky to have great camping so close to our home but want to venture a little farther for a weeks vacation.

We stayed at the Adirondack Loj several years ago on a backpacking trip. There was a nice campground there (where we saw a CampInn up close and personal, that resulted in our decision to buy ours the next spring).
Heart Lake is on the grounds there as well. A beautiful spot.

I went to investigate this campground and it looks like due to New York State Health Department Regulations, they no longer allow RVs of any sort - Tent only now.

Oh, that's a shame, it was a great spot. We did a 2 night backpack and then stayed in the Loj a few nights. A gorgeous area.
We camped at the Wilmington Notch campground years ago, which was nice. Close to the river, but not a lake...
